Lowering The Rear of your Roadstar (The "Flip" Method)
Disclaimer:    I can not be held responsible for anyone screwing up their bike or accessories in attempting this modification.
While it worked well for me, I can't guarantee other people's workmanship or prevent their mistakes.
You undertake this at your own risk!
For the cost of your time only, and the use of a grinder, you can get the high-rear-end of your Roadstar dropped-down to something that looks a lot more attractive!
This saves you from buying a lowering kit.
Unless you ride 1-up all the time, I would also recommend putting on a 1,000 lb. spring over the shock to ensure you don't bottom out with 2-up.
Rather than re-invent the wheel, I'll simply point you in the direction of where I found the instructions.

Same method also posted here at the Road Star Clinic:

I've now done this on two of my friends' Roadstars.
I managed to do this without removing the rear tire, which is a huge time saver. Just sort of figured it out on my own.
I haven't read this over, but I would assume it follows the same methodology... Here's a link to how to do this:

This one has some good diagrams showing how you should cut the bracket.
