Vent Your Gas Cap - To Prevent Tank Collapse
Disclaimer:    I can not be held responsible for anyone screwing up their bike or accessories in attempting this modification.
While it worked well for me, I can't guarantee other people's workmanship or prevent their mistakes.
You undertake this at your own risk!
For the cost of your time only, you can vent your gas cap, allowing your tank to "breath." The reason for this? There is a roll-over valve near the bottom of the vent tubing that comes off the front top of your gas tank. The rollover sits down near the shock assembly area of the bike. These rollover valves have been known to stick closed. Since the stock gas cap is a seal, this creates a vacuum and has been known to cause some Roadstar owners to have a part of their gas tank "implode" inward creating a large dent. The venting of the cap prevents this from happening. (As does the removal of the roll-over valve - a precaution which I took as well)
Rather than re-invent the wheel, I'll simply point you in the direction of where I found the instructions.
